5th Annual IAVO Ruck March

Our annual 100 Mile Ruck march is to honor our Veterans that didn't return. We know we have Memorial Day but we can not forget our Brothers and Sisters during Veterans Day. Second it's a great way for us Veterans to get together enjoy that brother and Sisterhood among us.
A little history, this will be the 5th Annual hike, We started with 4 participates the first year and grew to about 12 or so last year. You do not have to be a Veteran to participate. Just willing to put up with us Veterans. This year there will be a $25.00 fee to cover t-shirts, and help with other costs, such as breakfast and dinner. 100 mile tabs will be given to those who complete all hundred miles. There is only 5 members who have earned this honor.
Basically the route starts just outside of Beeville, Tx to Goliad,Tx to Refugio,TX to Sinton, Tx to Skidmore,Tx back to Beeville.
20 Miles a day for 5 days. We end at the VFW in Beeville. You don't have to walk all 100 miles, if you want to only do 2 or 3 miles that's OK. We have Vehicles out there to pickup individuals along the route. What we have done in the past is, we created two groups, each group walks 4 miles at a time. You can stick to your group or sit one rotation out, its all on you. We do not want people to get hurt . You can come out for one day or stay for all 5 days. We can provide water during the day. But bring what you need during the hike. Food will be most likely be provided expect for lunch, we just need sponsors and helpers to cook. Which we will get a better understanding as we get closer to November.
You also don't need to walk with us to come out. We do need personnel behind the scenes, drivers etc. and "barbecue cooks" always welcome.....
During the walk, you can wear shorts, jeans, boots, running shoes, whatever you want. "Back packs" up to you, how heavy you want it or no back pack, just have something to carry water with. If you plan to stay with us the night, please bring what you need to sleep, tent sleeping bag etc.
